This 40 bed hostel for the Spanish speaking community is based on the village model, having self-contained residences grouped around a village green and community centre. The hostel is planned to allow each resident to enjoy privacy and independence, with the availability of company and support when desired.

Close teamwork between the committee, architects and builder resulted in the project being completed on budget and ahead of time.

In 1994, the project received an award for 'Outstanding Building Design' by Blacktown City Council, in recognition of its enhancement of the area.
